robotics notes

Hello everyone! My username is The_Overmind (a StarCraft reference, from when I first created an account on the StarCraft wiki years ago) and I am an admin here (as well as on a few other wikis like ChäoS;HEAd and StarCraft). The admin here who is also bureaucrat and founder is Walker9702. I am really into the Science Adventure Series and have seen all the anime released so far for it, and am also playing the visual novels for both the SciADV games (as many of them as possible) and the TYPE-MOON games (another franchise I really like).

Here is my current TODO list for this wiki:

Have pages for all characters in Robotics;Notes and Robotics;Notes DaSH... include everyone important from https://myanimelist.net/anime/13599/Robotics_Notes/characters and https://vndb.org/v5883/chars#chars and https://vndb.org/v21281/chars#chars and https://avac.moe/anime.php?id=13599.

Have the important information from the Japanese Wikipedia page https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ROBOTICS;NOTES (see https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fja.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FROBOTICS%3BNOTES for Google Translate machine translation, which is inaccurate but better than nothing). This can include stuff like characters, locations, organizations, music, plot, trivia, etc. Errors from Google Translate can be corrected by using Wiktionary.org to look up words and get correct translations, and other resources like that. But we will use official translations from the games or anime instead if possible. The canonical translation is the Committee of Zero patch for Robotics;Notes Elite. Whatever it says overrides anything else (except the wiki will use English name order instead of Japanese name order).

Some needed characters are Hiromu Hidaka (Subaru’s dad who is a fisherman), Kaoruko Usui (the vice-principal trying to shut down the club), Maguyan (some guy brainwashed by the Committee of 300), Genki Dotou (hero of Mobile Battler Gunvarrel), and Rosetta Yuuki (heroine of Mobile Battler Gunvarrel). We already have some good recent progress with articles on Sumio Nagafukada, Minami Furugoori, Toshiyuki Sawada, and Kenichiro Senomiya getting written.

Obviously the articles on characters should have character infoboxes and pictures and all the fields of data filled out in the upper right, along with articles with text to the left and below those infoboxes.

Have information for all important locations where things happen (mostly on the island of Tanegashima, but a few in other places like the place in Tokyo where the exhibition on robots happens).

Have information for all the important organizations that are involved the plot or are alleged to be part of any conspiracies etc. (this includes various organizations involved in robotics, augmented reality, etc.)

This includes the Exoskeleton company (not sure exact article title for it, depends on Committee of Zero translation of games) the Space Ame candy company (again, not sure of exact title), and a bunch of others. Like for Exoskeleton it might be something like Exoskeleton Co., Ltd. or maybe it is just Exoskeleton.

Have information for all the important events that occur (e.g. MF Anemone Incident, 2015 Crash, Tanegashima Gun Festival, Tokyo Robot Expo, Robo-One Championship). We do have articles for several of these already but I am sure there are others that are missing that I forgot about.

Have information for the various plots like Project Mars and Project Atom (or is it Project Atum? not sure the spelling, different websites are inconsistent), covering both stuff from the Kimijima Reports as well as the (in-universe) truth.

Have information about science stuff like monopole magnets, articles for each of the robots that are built (not just by the club but the Sumeragi etc. too), stuff about robotics and augmented reality, and other terminology like for the powered suits Exoskeleton makes and the song Kagome, Kagome and whatever an EGI device is, etc.

Have information for all Robotics;Notes music for the games and anime where someone is actually singing, typically opening and ending and insert songs (instrumental background music is nowhere near as important though). On this wiki, the page titles for the songs are in Romaji rather than English. Every song page should have a video of the full-length version of the song embedded, if possible. There are a lot of videos on the Japanese video-sharing website niconico (which it is possible to embed in this wiki), but if we can find YouTube videos, that is preferable to niconico for embedding.

Try to cover references Robotics;Notes and Robotics;Notes DaSH make to other games and anime, putting in links to other wikis where necessary, and having other wikis link to this wiki where necessary, too.

If we are referencing something like Nozomi or SERN or real-booting, link to the appropriate SciADV wiki for whichever game that is actually important in, instead of having the content on this wiki, for the articles about things that are important topics in other parts of the series but just minor details in Robotics;Notes or Robotics;Notes DaSH.

Generic SciADV terminology regarding websites/social media/etc. like Twipo or Deluuode or MewTube or Taboo! or FrePara or @channel or Grouchosoft Mindorz or Spark Wars or Darth Spider or RINE or PhoneDroid/PokeCom or Niconiya or Blood Tune or Gunvarrel or Rai-Net, if it comes up, should typically be on the wiki of whichever game introduced it.

Separate articles for the Airi/Sister Centipede/Geji-nee AI and the actual human girl Airi Yukifune (which I guess we would start by duplicating the current article and then editing one version to be about the AI and the other about the human after it is separated into 2 articles).

Obviously better coverage of Robotics;Notes DaSH is needed, but also the original game and anime too.

Cover other stuff like manga, drama CDs, light novels, etc. I remember there is a drama CD called “A Day in the Life of Frau Koujiro”, I found 2 translations of it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wfsLasxy18 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgKMv7WDUUQ and there is also a version subbed by WhyNot, the first translation takes some more liberties to sound more like regular English and the 2nd is more literal at saying exactly what was originally said and the WhyNot version is not on YouTube.

Try to improve spelling, grammar, punctuation, layout, etc.

Have high-quality images and videos on pages.

Have fairly complete information from the official games themselves as translated by Committee of Zero patches to the Spike Chunsoft official releases, as well as the anime, and use Committee of Zero translation patches of games for how to spell things (except for name order; Committee of Zero uses Japanese name order since that goes better with the Japanese voice acting in the visual novel games, but this wiki will continue to use English name order of given name and then family name, as the other SciADV wikis do).
